Canceled: Explore the watershed while maintaining safe social distancing at these TWO full-day workshops (Friday and Saturday) led by artist Bonnie Schetski. Learn the tradition of Japanese Printmaking. Demonstrations will include a brief history lesson, step-by-step instruction of image transfer techniques, carving form, and color applications. Upon completing the workshop, participants will receive a print portfolio of fellow participants’ work.
The workshop will be at the Southern Wisconsin Land Conservancy’s scenic Three Waters Reserve, N3941 Golf Club Road, Brodhead, WI 53520.
Event dates: Canceled: Saturday, September 10th AND Sunday, September 11th, 2022.
Time: 9 – 3 pm with lunch break (bring a sack lunch, snack, and beverages).
Ages: 18 years old and up.
Participants: 6 (minimum) to 12 (maximum).
Cost: $150/person registration fee paid to LSRWA. The fee includes a take-home supply kit of additional papers, inks, and transfers worth $25. Attention: A Japanese Woodblock Printmaking Kit must be purchased before the workshop by each participant directly from McClain’s Printmaking Supplies costing $72.45 plus shipping. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. The maximum enrollment is twelve (12) students.
